A business financing roundtable is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. August 18 at Community College of Vermont located at 324 Main St. in Bennington, Vt. The meeting is free and open to the public. Representatives from the private and government sector will explain the range of financing available to small business owners. Roundtable topics include guarantee loans, revolving loan funds, crowdfunding, microloans, traditional financing and more. "This is a tremendous opportunity for small business owners to have a captive audience of lending experts," said Vallerie Morse, Small Business Administration Vermont District Office deputy director. "There are going to be several lenders here, and if all goes well, one of them can assist with the capital needed to grow or start a business." Representatives from the town of Bennington, Bennington County Industrial Corporation, Small Business Administration, Community Capital of Vermont, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Vermont Community Loan Fund and Vermont Economic Development Authority comprise the roundtable panel.
